| Byangoma are legendary birds of Bengali mythology, appearing most notably in the fairytales of Thakurmar Jhuli, where they are portrayed as wise, fortune-telling birds that help the deserving.
Name: Malachi. Occupation: A Byangoma. Personality: Somewhat passive, somewhat brazen. Clothing: His clothes are very basic; he wears a jacket with a wide collar, tall enough to cover up to his chin if he feels necessary. The cuffs of his jacket bear some sort of odd floral design. His pants are tight and brown, but almost fully overlap his talon-feet. His hands are similar; they are bird-like leathery claws. Pictures: None yet.
Innocent at first glance, Malachi stands at 5'7'' and is all around far from imposing. His hair is black and always tousled, like he's constantly rubbing it up against a balloon. Even so, it drapes over his eyes in a choppy arrangement, and only slightly extending down his neck. His skin has a gray tone to it, lighter on either side of his mouth, appearing as though someone sliced his mouth open from ear to ear at some point – evidence of it being stitched together at some point is clearly visible. His eyes are black; one fully like a void, while the other has a white pupil. The blank eye is of no use to him, having lost sight in it some years ago.
He's an accused demon that resides in the lowest part of Sheol for speaking negatively about Purgatory and encouraging retaliation against the higher ups. Firmly believes a revolt is in order as nothing has changed in the many years he's lived here. He often encourages such things, but there's nothing that can be done between being holed up and having humdrum company.
Bird form He stands at about 5ft or so. His feathers consist of a brown color throughout his body but are longer towards the back and top of his head. The interior of his wings are more of a gray hue, and is rather than simply being speckled he's got designs white that resemble eyes all along the inside. His tail is also a gray color, resembling wisps of hair and curling at the very ends. As for his legs, those match his tail and inner-wings in color, though it appears as though his bones are on the outside. His ulna and radius are both on the outside, creating a hole through each leg. His face isn't much like an ordinary bird's either, as his skull is on the outside and exhibits the same wreathed pattern the cuffs on his jacket do all about his skeletal beak and eyes.
Abilities Fortune telling, inducing nightmares, flashbacks and shock images for no apparent reason. All of these are suppressed due to a collar-like device secured around his neck.
