Feng Huang : Gatekeeper

The Feng Huang (Chinese Phoenix) is one of the four Si-Ling Holy Animals. It's often referred to as the Red Bird of the West, and is extremely important in mystic animalism. The Feng Huang only appears in times of peace and prosperity. It is also called the emperor of birds because all the other birds of the sky would follow it in flight in homage to it.

Occupation: Gatekeeper
Personality: Intelligent, astute. She can be downright haughty and stuck-up a lot of the time, but it is usually unintentional. She also assiduous and always takes her occupation seriously. She is also very classy.
Clothing:

Gown
She wears a silken qipao that is embroidered with an elaborate golden design. The topmost area of the gown is blue and gradually turns red toward the end, sort of like a gradient. It reaches to her ankles in length and the slits at each side reach above her knees. It also has very long, wide sleeves that extend past her hands, extending to her knees (sort of like kimono sleeves).

She usually wears her hair up in a bun with golden pins and extravangant-looking feathers as accessories.

Armor
Aside from her qipao, she also has an extremely elaborate suit of armor. The breast, arm, and leg plates are made up of a lamellar-style of bronze plates and are held together by red silk and lacquered leather. A long, trailing silk cape wraps her shoulders over the armor and has a golden phoenix adorned on the fabric. Her helmet covers her face completely, often making her seem like a man. There are long, scarlet and azure peacock-like feathers extending from the top of the helmet and reach down to the middle of her back.

Underneath the suit of armor she wears a hanfu gown that is layered with three different silk fabrics. The base is a red full body garment with golden lapels, followed by a blue skirt that is slightly shorter than the base. Finally, a golden waist skirt is tied together with a pristine white sash.

She also has a jian-style sword that is harnessed of steel and worn at her waist. The scabbard is made of white-lacquered wood and is intricately decorated with a golden design of a phoenix in mid-flight. The hilt is decorated with jade gemstones has a long red tassel connected to the end of it.

Appearance: She has a very majestic ambience about her, you'd think she was royalty. Her hair is luxuriant and golden, reaching past her waist when loose. The iris of her eyes are scarlet in color. Her skin is white and smooth like porcelain, so much so that she resembles a doll and her lips are always painted red.

Forms: Aside from her anthro form, she has a bird form where she takes the shape a large, beautiful phoenix. Her feathers have a very colorful and fiery plumage, especially the tail, which is colored in the five sacred colors: red, blue, yellow, white, and black. Her tail feathers closely resemble those of a peacock in length and design.

Shape-wise, she has a busty, goose-like front and her neck is long like that of a snake. Her face resembles that of a swallow with duck-like down along her body. She stands at seven feet at full-height.

Abilities: She can fan the flames of desire like nobody's business.

She can sing the sweetest melody in the five Chinese harmonic notes. If someone plays a musical instrument while sitting under a wu t'ung tree, she will bless the musician by adding her own unique melody to the music.
